My Goal

My desire is to teach people of all ages the liberating and unique experience of riding horses.  I teach all aspects of western riding.  I focus on hands on natural horsemanship, as well as trust and confidence, for both rider and horse.  My primary goal is to ensure a safe and memorable experience for everyone.

About me:  As an avid horsewoman, I have had over 36 years experience with horses.  I have been an instructor for over 10 years, and have trained horses for almost 25 years.

I grew up mostly in Northern Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming.  I spent many years in 4-H, FFA, and various saddle clubs.  I started out showing in halter, pleasure, and showmanship events.  I quickly became very active with speed events in gymkhanas.  I rode for several years in junior barrels at Cheyenne Frontier Days.

I have been a citizen of Southern Colorado for almost five years now, specifically the Peyton area.  I also am a current student at PPCC for the equestrian program.  I have volunteered at many different equine facilities in and around the area since I moved here.

I hope that I can enlighten my students to the joys of riding horses, and present them with not only the training to be a better rider, but also the enlightening experience that horses bring out in us all.
